Auburn Global will be taking a trip to Montgomery to tour the Civil Rights Memorial Center, The Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, and the Rosa Parks Museum in honor of Black History Month.
What is Black History Month? Black History Month, or National African American History Month, is an annual celebration of achievements by black Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of African Americans in U.S. history.
Come learn about the prominent role that Montgomery, AL. played in during the Civil Rights Act. There will be a free lunch provided at Mellow Mushroom. Tours will begin at 10AM and end around 3PM. Transportation will be provided. Buses will pick up in the morning at 8AM and we should return around 4PM. Only 50 spots available!
